Primary elections for many important positions will be held across Georgia on Tuesday, July 15th. This year, all 236 seats in the Georgia General Assembly, two seats on the Public Service Commission and many county commission and city council seats are up for election. The primary election will actually determine the winner in a handful of state and local races. In other areas, they will set the stage for contested races in the November general election.
Election Day is Tuesday, July 15th, but you can also vote early anytime between now and Friday, July 11th. Most counties offer fewer locations for early voting, so you should review information about early voting locations in your county at the Secretary of State website by selecting the More button.
