Tell Legislators to Keep Our Parks & Wildlife Areas Open

Issue

Georgia's Department of Natural Resources Board has proposed budget cuts to a department that is already strapped. Your lands, air, and water are assets that drive tourism, support economic growth, improve public health, and provide wildlife habitat.

Background

Facing a difficult budget, state leaders are once again proposing drastic cuts to Georgia DNR. In the coming weeks, legislators will be meeting to decide whether to shut down and padlock off up to 13 of our state's greatest treasures and severely cut the operating budget of the entirety of Georgia DNR. You can make a difference by contacting the chairs of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, Representative Ben Harbin and Senator Jack Hill, and urging them to keep the gates to these wonderful assets open.
