Don't get stuck bailing out Georgia Power's risky nuclear power expansion plans!
You can take action on this alert by reading the information below and following the
directions at the bottom.
Georgia Power is asking for elected Public Service Commissioners to approve the utility's request for construction of two extremely expensive and water-intensive nuclear reactors that Georgians cannot afford.
Georgia Power needs the Public Service Commissioners to approve its risky plan to build more nuclear reactors at Plant Vogtle. If approved, this costly venture will increase electric bills and squander Georgia's water resources, putting pocketbooks and the Savannah River at increased risk. Please give public comment by asking the Public Service Commissioners during the public hearing on Monday, November 3 to reject Georgia Power's nuclear expansion proposal and instead open the way for safe, clean energy choices such as energy efficiency and conservation, bioenergy, wind, and solar energy.
Attend the November 3rd hearing on the Plant Vogtle certification process, docket #27800. It begins at 10 a.m. at the Public Service Commission building near the State Capitol, at 244 Washington Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30334. You will be given about 3-5 minutes to speak. Please show up on time in order to sign up for public comment. For driving directions to the PSC, go to: http://www.psc.state.ga.us/contactinfo.asp.

Reject nuclear expansion plans for Plant Vogtle.
Dear GEAN,
I plan to attend the November 3rd hearing on the Plant Vogtle certification process. I will tell the PSC to say yes for clean energy and no to risky nuclear power.
